Riches and status come from Heaven's hand,
The poor suffer from Heaven's reprimand.

Suddenly, a madman sharpens his blade at night,
As the emperor star wobbles, and planets take flight.

From this moment, the world turns upside down,
Killing becomes easy, no longer wearing a frown.

The disloyal may be killed, the unfilial too,
The unkind, the unjust, all fall under the purview.

Those without courtesy, wisdom, or trust,
The great Western King orders them killed, killed, killed with lust.

I was not born to chase after the throne,
I care not for a golden palace, nor for wealth shown.

The top scholar and officials, all like dogs,
Under the blade, they shudder and quiver like logs.

Command the four princes under my banner,
To take the city without weapons, only with honor.

Let this stele be erected on the mountaintop,
Those who rebel against Heaven will kneel to stop.

Heaven nourishes all things to support mankind,
But man has nothing to offer in kind.
