An individual cannot be a Muslim without worship
ing Allah alone and disbelieving in all others worshiped
besides him, as clarified by the hadith of the five pillars:
“Islam has been built upon five matters: Worshiping Al
lah and disbelieving in anything [worshiped] besides
Him” (Reported by Muslim from Ibn ‘Umar). So there
is no Islam without worship of Allah (istislam) and there
is no Islam without disbelieving in the taghut (salamah).
An individual is not saved from the filth and impurity of
shirk and its people as long as he does not disbelieve in
the tawaghit of his era, their shirk, and those who com
mit this shirk, such as the apostate partisans of democ
racy, nationalism, and manmade laws. Included among
them are the candidates and voters in the elections and
referendums from the so-called “Islamic” parties, as well
as those who refer to the courts of manmade laws for judg
ment under the pretext of maslahah and necessity.
